After early morning breakfast, transfer to Kanyanchu Tourist center for briefing prior to the chimpanzee tracking activity. In addition to a large community of chimpanzees, there are 13 other primate species, including red and black-and-white colobus monkeys, l’Hoest’s, red-tailed, vervet and blue monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, olive baboons, as well as four species of nocturnal primates. The birdlife is prolific, with approximately 400 species recorded for the area. Highlights include the crested guinea fowl, great blue turaco, grey parrot, green-breasted & African pitas, African crowned eagles and black bee-eaters. Lunch with the community and thereafter, proceed on a 3hr picturesque rid to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Kasese Area, famous for the great Rwenzori Mountains and the crater lakes. You will be privileged to visit the great art establishment by Rwenzori Founders where African Totems are expressed in Bronze Sculpture Pieces. Have an introductory game drive upon arrival in Queen Elizabeth NP.

Day Five. In Queen Elizabeth NP

Wake-up and follow your adventure instincts on a sunrise game-drive. Queen Elizabeth National Park’s diverse Eco-system of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife. Game drives in this park, with the massive Rwenzoris as a backdrop provides excellent opportunities to see lion, leopard, giant forest hog, Cape buffalo, elephants, de fassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, Topi and bush buck. Resting for lunch, you then take an afternoon boat-ride on the approximately 33kms long channel “Kazinga Channel” that links Lake George to Lake Edward. The channel is a haven for probably the highest concentration of hippos in Africa and numerous Nile crocodiles as well as a rich bird-life that flourishes on the banks. Retire and relax at your accommodation.

 Day Six. To Bwindi

Depart the main section of QE early and Watch the sunrise on a game-drive to the Ishasha section. The southern circuit of Ishasha is famous for the tree-climbing lions thus you will have the occasion to catch glimpse of the great predators up in tree-branches. This is a highlight of Ishasha and a clear manifestation of a unique character developed by the heavy predators to adapt to the vegetation and weather conditions of the area. Exit the park and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest N.P. – THE Home of the Mountain Gorillas!

 Day Seven. In Bwindi

After an early breakfast and a briefing by a ranger guide, enter the gorilla sanctuary for your adventure. The beauty of this rain forest is spectacular. The area offers dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense, but criss-crossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle and endangered giants is an awesome, exciting experience to be long savored. Many find it to be a rare and moving opportunity.

Day Eight. To Lake Mburo NP

Enjoy sunrise at Bwindi. After breakfast, check-out and transfer to L. Mburo via Mbarara with lunch en-route. Continue and access the park through Sanga park gate. In the afternoon, proceed to a scenic boat-ride on L. Mburo where African Fish Eagles, the rare African Fin foot, Nile Crocodiles and Hippos are common sight. The boat takes approximately 90 minutes after which, you will return to Land and embark on a sundown game-drive. L.
